Yep, pretty sure this is my fav of the whole franchise.

As much as I loved the first one and Gary Ross’ direction, Francis Lawrence did a fantastic job carrying on the grittiness from the first film into this one and keeping us on the edge of our seats as we travel with Katniss and Peeta from District 12 throughout the other districts, then back to the Capital, before ultimately going into the arena.

In some ways, I feel that had things played out “normally” after winning the games, Katniss would have ended up on the same path Finnick found himself in life, being whored out by the Capital

Based on her age, she must have been one of the first victors shortly after the Hunger Games began, which means she’s known EVERY. SINGLE. VICTOR from her years and beyond, so all of those people whose faces appeared in the sky are people she’s known for years and years
