Plutarch really is a political mastermind, and it’s a thin line between good and diabolical

How do “elections” work in Panam? Do they even happen?
Cinna, Plutarch: the key that someone in the Capital is “against the Capital” is that they don’t look like people in the Capital
Ok, so the US/North America is Panam, but…what about the rest of the world? What’s become of it? Does Panam have any international allies? Or has the world turned its back on Panam and left it to fend for itself?
“You never get off this train.”
I’d drink myself into a stupor too

Justice for District 11

Ugh, I forgot about how Katniss and Peeta have to say something about the fallen tributes.
And how fucked up that the Capital makes their families have to stand on a platform and listen
Love this conversation between Peeta and Katniss on the train (where they share their favorite colors); it’s simple but you really feel like there’s an effort to *be friends* something which they hadn’t really had a chance to do in the first film (there’s a difference between being allies and being friends). Anyway, this scene might be one of my favorite moments in the entire film
See, I know they’re “playing parts”, but at the same time, I find the kiss between Katniss and Peeta more genuine than the one between her and Gale
Despite his intimidation, Katniss truly does have the “upper hand” since Snow *needs* her so desperately to distract the people with her and Peeta’s false love story. And the other reason he can’t kill her is he knows that by doing so, she becomes a martyr
