yeah, I’m not seeing a huge difference between President Snow’s leadership style and that of the GOP

Ah, nice to see little has changed between Katniss and Haymitch ;oP
Prim’s cat went from black and white to orange in the span of two movies
I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but I always felt the romantic tension between Katniss and Gale, at least in the movies, seemed “forced”
“Catching Fire” live blog
Continuing my Hunger Games pre-Thanksgiving weekend live blog, moving onward to “Catching Fire”, which…might be my favorite in the franchise; I don’t know, I just love the “all-star” aspect with the previous victors.

…and it’s snowing outside
…annnnnnnnnnnnnd that’s it!
All in all, I do enjoy the franchise as a whole, and the first movie. It’s a shame that Gary Ross wasn’t invited back to film the rest of the series, because despite a few editing choices, I thought his vision was very good at keeping with the “grittiness” of the book world. The violence managed to be shocking thanks to the “power of suggestion”, which in my opinion, can be even more violent due to our imaginations filling in the blanks to what we don’t see on the screen.
Anyway, I think I’m going to call it quits there for tonight, but pick-up tomorrow with the rest!
Thank you for joining me on this wacky live-blog journey…or at the very least, tolerating me on your dash :oP

Peeta: “So what happens when we get back?”
Katniss: “I don’t know; I guess we just try to forget.”
Peeta: “…I don’t want to forget.”

Peeta’s better at convincing us they’re in love, but then that’s because he genuinely is
I’m not saying that Katniss and Peeta wouldn’t have gone through with it, but at the same time, the Capitol are terrible at calling someone’s bluff
