I’VE BEEN WAITING ALL YEAR
NaNoWriMo 2017, Day 1
November 1, 2017
I have learned something very important today…
NEVER LOOK AT MULTIPLE STORIES AT THE SAME TIME. Your brain will not be able to handle all the different plots, and in the end, you’ll just be sitting there with a spinning head and a confused expression on your face.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get any writing done today; I think I need to just pick a story and roll up my sleeves and say THIS IS THE ONE I am going to concentrate on. And once I do that, I can then get down to writing.
But I do thank all of you for providing suggestions on what to work on! It was a pretty even mix, but two stood out just a tad more than the others. Fingers crossed that I at least reach 1600 words tomorrow, if not more!

I Do Not Love Death, but I Love the Dead
A nice reflection for this All Saints Day.

Here’s what Donald Trump doesn’t want you to know: ACA open enrollment begins TODAY!
Spread the word and #GetCovered.
It’s actually really easy, guys; I started my application and now I’m in the midst of choosing which coverage plan I want–took me 30 minutes, tops. DO NOT PUT THIS OFF; do not wait until the last minute. You have until December 15, and it will be here before you know it. APPLY EARLY–APPLY NOW.

writing question
OK! To help get the muse pumping, I thought I would ask the somewhat complicated question to anyone out there (that may remember what I’ve written; I don’t blame you if you’ve forgotten, it’s been sooooooooo long!) BUT, as it helps with motivation…WHAT STORY, if you had to pick one, would you like to see an update for the most???
That’s it, that’s the question, and like I said, I know it’s been a while so to “re-familiarize” yourself with what I’ve written, here’s a link to my fanfic. BUT YES PLEASE, what one story would you really love to wake up and find an update for in your inbox??? :o)
Thank you! Truly, this does help with getting my muse going and is very much appreciated!

NaNoWriMo 2017

So…it’s been…a while…since I sat down and wrote anything (let alone POST anything), but now that I have settled into my new job and have at least moved into my new place (I’m far from settled there, but that is a going to take several months) I am hoping to more or less “resurrect” my writing this month, with the help of NaNoWriMo!

So like the last two years, I’m going to try and dedicate so many words a day (roughly 1600) to make the 50,000 goal by the end of the month. I am also hoping to write/post at least 4 updates to some of my major fics–several come to mind, but I’m not going to post what they are, because the muse may decide “no, I don’t feel like updating that story, let’s update this one instead”, and really, who I am to argue with my muse after this long creativity drought?

As a means to keep myself motivated, I’m going to take a page out of @cassiemortmain‘s book, and keep a daily “writing journal” on my blog that I hope to post at the end of the day, with an update on how I did. YOU CAN HELP TOO by simply being your wonderful, encouraging selves, checking up on my little journal, and shooting off supportive messages now and then, especially messages where you say “I wish I could see THIS happen in _____ story” (oh those help massively, trust me!)

BUT HAPPY NOVEMBER EVERYONE! And good luck to the other writers out there who decide to take on the challenge of NaNoWriMo or a variation of it.

It was November—the month of crimson sunsets, parting birds, deep, sad hymns of the sea, passionate wind-songs in the pines. Anne roamed through the pineland alleys in the park and, as she said, let that great sweeping wind blow the fogs out of her soul.
